Watch the TGS trailer of Dragon Quest IX for the DS

Remember the recent Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen for the Nintendo DS? As you may have heard, the game is a remake of Dragon Warrior IV for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Well, the DS is about to get its first original numbered Dragon Quest, and it’s coming soon! The recent Tokyo Game Show gave us a glimpse of Dragon Quest IX: Defenders of the Starry Sky.

Like its precursors, Dragon Quest IX will come with turn-based combat. However, it’s also going to have cooperative multiplayer for up to four players over Wi-Fi. The release date for Dragon Quest IX: Defenders of the Starry Sky is March 2009.
