Tips and Tricks – The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii)
November 6, 2008 by Mike
Like the previous Forest Temple “dungeon,” there are again two major enemies in the Goron Mines. The first is a huge mini-boss named Dangoro, who’s guarding the bow. The dungeon’s main boss is Fyrus, the possessed form of the Goron patriarch. This week, we’ll show you how to beat these major foes.
Here is how Dangoro is defeated:
The steps to beating the mini-boss:
- Wear the Iron Boots upon reaching the circular magnetic platform.
- Attack Dangoro’s belly when he prepares to swing. It usually takes four normal attacks before Dangoro curls up into a ball. When Dangoro curls up, there will be a prompt to press the A button. Doing so would command Link to grab Dangoro and hurl the mini-boss into the lava.
- Repeat this method thrice.
Fyrus, the main boss of the Goron Mines, is the only boss in Twilight Princess without a second round. Savor the battle because the succeeding ones won’t be as easy. Here’s how Fyrus is beaten:
The steps to defeating Fyrus:
- Attack the glowing jewel on Fyrus’ head using the bow. Doing this would distract the boss.
- Once distracted, run towards the chains attached to Fyrus’ legs, equip the Iron Boots, and then pull the chains. This would cause the stage boss to topple.
- Run to the front of the fallen boss and attack the jewel like crazy.
- Run away and put considerable space between Link and Fyrus to prepare the next bow shot. Rinse and repeat.
