Don Flamenco is dangerous without his wig.

Don Flamenco is mad at Little Mac and he wants payback. It’s time for another title defense in Punch-Out!! for the Nintendo Wii. Your foe has gained a couple of new tricks in title defense so if you want to survive Don Flamenco’s onslaught, then read on, Punch-Out!! fan.

Here are Don Flamenco’s moves:

  • When Don Flamenco says “Ole,” he’ll throw a left hook (which moves towards your right).
  • Don Flamenco says “Toro” and then throws a speedy uppercut.
  • When Don Flamenco says “Carmen, Mi Amor,” he’ll execute a delayed uppercut. Just wait for Don Flamenco to turn red.
  • An old trick that deserves review: Don Flamenco raises his arms on your right side, claps two times, and then launches a jab.
  • Here are a couple of new tricks: Don Flamenco now has backhand attacks (left- and right-handed punches) that are thrown with very short audio cues. When Don Flamenco starts spinning to the right or left and says “Oooh,” that’s when you’ll know he’ll do a backhanded attack.
  • Beware of Don Flamenco’s flurry of punches. You’ll know when he’s going to launch his flurry when he steps back, then counts to five while clapping. The best way to dodge his five consecutive punches is to duck each time. You can also sidestep, which could lead to a star. Just be careful—sidestepping during a flurry could get you hurt.
  • Prepare for a dangerous barrage of punches when Don Flamenco loses his wig. He’ll be throwing a wide variety of punches at an even faster clip this time. You’ll have to react more quickly when dodging and throwing counterpunches.

As an extra, we’re including some tips on how to execute Don Flamenco’s infinite combo. If you master this combo, you can keep throwing punches until Don Flamenco lands on the mat. Here’s how you do it:

  • Throw a right jab (jab is a punch to the stomach), left hook (hook is a punch to the face), right jab;
  • Then alternate with left jab, right hook, left jab.

Remember: You have to keep alternating between these two sets. If you miss the correct order, the “infinite” combo is over. For a demonstration, check out the video above.
