For some reason, Dr. Peace wants to sing alone in a baseball field.

Talk about strange. No More Heroes for the Wii features some of the oddest enemies on this side of Nintendo consoles. This week, we feature the battle for rank 9. The enemy: Dr. Peace, a belting gun slinger with a penchant for blood. The battle isn’t really tough, but if you’re not careful, the good doctor will take you down easily.

We teach you how to wage war with Dr. Peace.

Key things to remember during the fight:

  • Dr. Peace has three different types of attacks: he fires single bullets, a salvo of damaging bullets, and several devastating blasts that would knock Travis on his rear end.
  • Dr. Peace can’t move during his attacks. When he unleashes his salvo, use this as an opportunity to execute the Dark Step and get closer. Once Dr. Peace is in range, give him a succession of slashes.
  • Try to end your attacks with a kick to stun Dr. Peace so that you can execute wrestling moves on him. Wrestling moves inflict a lot of damage on Dr. Peace.
  • Always press the block button. This is a life-saving habit that would help when Travis is unable to leap away from attacks in time.
  • Take note of your beam katana’s energy level. It depletes quickly when you block Dr. Peace’s attacks. When low on energy, it would be a good idea to put some distance between Travis and the enemy to recharge.
  • When Dr. Peace starts glowing, this means he will unleash his most devastating attack. Keep running around him when this happens.
  • The enemy’s life would eventually be depleted. Once this happens, a cutscene would be triggered when Travis gets close. You would be prompted to press a button; if you take too long, Dr. Peace would knock Travis on his butt for some damage. If you keep losing and Travis’ health runs out, it’s game over. Press the button in time, and it’s curtains for Dr. Peace.
