You'll be sucked in the Bit.Trip Void.

Highly anticipated games are great, but sleeper hits are just as agreeable. Today, we’ve found another one for the WiiWare called Bit.Trip Void. What’s surprising about this under-the-radar quality title is that it’s already the third in a series of games. The first is Bit.Trip Beat (released last March), while the second is Bit.Trip Core (came out in July). Like its predecessors, Bit.Trip Void is generally liked by critics. See how it fared with the reviews:

One of Guybrush's tasks include playing cupid.

The first two episodes of Tales of Monkey Island were good, but not great. They’re quite disappointing, especially when you consider the series’ impressive pedigree. However, don’t cross out Tales of Monkey Island just yet—there are still several more chapters to go. The next episode is Lair of the Leviathan, and it’s the best installment in the series so far. Just how good is chapter three? It’s good enough to make up for the shortcomings of the previous episode.

As the episode’s title suggests, Guybrush Threepwood is stuck in the stomach of a giant manatee, which swallowed his ship in the previous chapter. Your mission is to escape from the beast’s belly and find the magic sponge that can cure a nasty pox. Of course, it’s not going to be easy. Guybrush Threepwood has returned for more laughs in Tales of Monkey Island: Launch of the Screaming Narwhal for the WiiWare. In this pirate adventure, our inept hero fights his archenemy LeChuck, but somehow gets marooned on Flotsam Island. Threepwood must unravel the isle’s secrets; outwit a slightly mad, sexually-ambiguous doctor; and locate a magical, exfoliating sponge that can cure him of his cursed hand. Sounds like a Monkey Island game, alright.

The new Space Invaders game for the Wii comes with a twist.

The new Space Invaders game for the Wii comes with a twist.

Space Invaders is now on its 30th year. You read it right—the arcade classic is now three decades old, but thanks to the innovation of the original creators, the Space Invaders returns with a new twist: instead of defeating wave after wave of extraterrestrials, it’s the invading aliens that take the starring role this time around.
