Is the DS hardcore enough? Yes it is.

The strategy RPG genre is already crowded in the Nintendo DS front. In a subgenre made popular by Final Fantasy Tactics, there’s not a lot that a game can do to set itself apart from the range of superior and not-so-good titles. Some game makers may choose to deliver a better story, new battle mechanics, or more colorful characters, but while these efforts are commendable, they can always be bested further down the road. Apparently, developer Sting had a better idea: what if they combined real-time strategy, RPG leveling, and top down shooting in one SRPG? The result is Knights in the Nightmare, one of the most innovative games you’ll ever play on the DS.

Overkill is how one gains "Sin."

When one speaks of mature games, the first thing that usually comes to mind is violence. Such is the case in Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume. The new strategy RPG for the Nintendo DS is certainly violent because its gameplay consists mainly of battle after isometric battle. However, Covenant of the Plume also depicts life and death like no other game has, and that makes it mature.
