Spirit Tracks holds a secret!

Since its inception in the mid-1980s, The Legend of Zelda has always been about rescuing Princess Zelda, but things have changed. In the next Zelda for the DS, the titular princess would be accompanying our Hylian hero Link in his quest to restore the Spirit Tracks. There is however a surprise: Zelda isn’t quite her royal self.

More details on the new Zelda game emerge. Is it something to be excited about? If you loved Phantom Hourglass, the only Zelda game to hit the DS so far, then maybe. The next installment is called The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. If you know Nintendo, then you’re probably expecting a generous amount of devious dungeon adventuring, but does this new Zelda address the nauseatingly recurring Temple of the Ocean King problem posed by Phantom Hourglass?

The Forest Temple is the first “dungeon” in Twilight Princess. In Zelda parlance, a dungeon is a sort of underworld (though it’s not always necessarily the case) that Link is supposed to conquer. Each dungeon contains an essential quest item, treasure, or boss to defeat. The Forest Temple presents a couple of bosses that Link must overcome. Today, we show you how to beat these foes.
