Resident Evil Zero coming to Wii, for Japan only
September 26, 2008 by Mike
Capcom can’t seem to get enough of Resident Evil. Remember the remake of the original Resident Evil for the Nintendo GameCube? Well, it’s coming to the Wii. According to Siliconera, Resident Evil Zero is scheduled for release in Japan only. For now, at least.
Capcom exec Christian Svensson revealed at the publisher’s forum that the circumstances could change, but “that’s the current situation.” Svensson also said that Resident Evil Zero “sold well indicating that many people have never played the title and there is demand for it.”
Considering that Capcom is Capcom, there’s still a chance the remake would land on U.S. shores. In addition, the Japan-based publisher has recently revealed its plans to increase sales coming from North America and Europe.
Expect an English version of Resident Evil Zero for the Wii—it’s practically guaranteed.
