RC car and bottles can play Super Mario theme
June 20, 2009 by Mike

Kōji Kondō's Super Mario theme has another strange version.
When Shigeru Miyamoto created Mario in the 1980s, he probably didn’t expect the character to evolve into a cultural icon. Neither did Kōji Kondō when he composed the Super Mario Bros. “overworld” theme. Today, Mario and his theme are ubiquitous. Through the years, different versions have been made, from Tesla coils to dual guitars, fans have done it all. This week, we check out another adaptation from someone with a lot of time in his hands.
But you know what? Putting this setup together isn’t easy. Aside from getting the right bottles for each pitch, the guy also had to position the bottles in such a way that the song’s tempo would be played correctly. For your perseverance, we salute you. Now please, find a cure for cancer.

[...] Pretty cool, huh? He seemed to have impressed the security guard. You have to give the guy some credit. All the time he spent figuring out the distance between bottles, the car, which order to put the bottles so the pitch was right, and drinking all those bottles. Now, if only he could do this with Zelda, Metroid, and F-Zero. Source:RC car and bottles can play Super Mario theme | Daily Nintendo [...]
