Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2 goes gold
September 27, 2008 by Mike
Great news for U.S.-based Naruto fans. Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2 for the Nintendo DS has gone gold, and would be arriving on store shelves this October 14th. The original Path of the Ninja is an English remake of Naruto RPG: Uketsugareshi Hi no Ishi for the GameBoy Advance, which never made it out of Japan.
Path of the Ninja 2 comes with 30 characters to choose from, including Naruto, Sasuke, and Rock Lee. Significant additions like the ninja tag systems give this sequel a fresh twist. Instead of merely leveling up and increasing ability powers, the tags allow players to customize each character’s jutsu.
The game’s Wi-Fi multiplayer feature is also something to look forward to. Players can play wireless and online battles, which reward Wi-Fi points that can be exchanged for items in the single-player campaign. Players are rewarded five Wi-Fi points for each win, and one for each loss. The multiplayer feature alone seems to be making a compelling case.
Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2 is rated E10+, which should be safe for kids 10 and older. If the game is as good as advertised, expect the adults to join in.
