Backyard Baseball 2009 Released for the DS

Backyard Baseball 2009 is available on Nintendo DS for the first time. Backyard Baseball is part of the bestselling 10 year old franchise by Humongous Inc. The Nintendo DS version of Backyard Baseball is a blend of real baseball strategies with strange power ups and arcade-like action to add exciting aspects to the game and draw in a young crowd of baseball fans.

Like all previous versions of the game, Backyard Baseball 2009 will feature professional players as kids and this year it will include at least one member of every MLB club. Backyard Baseball 2009 will utilize the unique capabilities of the Nintendo DS by offering wireless multi-player mode and touch screen controls to let players hit, field, pitch, and run by using strokes and taps of the stylus.

The game will include pick-up games, season mode and even a homerun derby. It will also have a range of difficulty settings so that players of all skill levels will be able to play a challenging game.

The game is rated E for everyone and will retail for $29.99.
