Guybrush is stuck in Flotsam Island.
Guybrush Threepwood has returned for more laughs in Tales of Monkey Island: Launch of the Screaming Narwhal for the WiiWare. In this pirate adventure, our inept hero fights his archenemy LeChuck, but somehow gets marooned on Flotsam Island. Threepwood must unravel the isle’s secrets; outwit a slightly mad, sexually-ambiguous doctor; and locate a magical, exfoliating sponge that can cure him of his cursed hand. Sounds like a Monkey Island game, alright.

Review - Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (DS)

Hogwarts looks bland in Half-Blood Prince DS
Can you imagine a Harry Potter game that meets the free-roaming gameplay popularized by Grand Theft Auto? The concept sounds intriguing, especially if you cram the mix into one wee cartridge. Interestingly, that’s exactly what the Nintendo DS version of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince did, but the results aren’t up to snuff.

The original Wii Sports enjoyed the benefit of being bundled with the Wii. Today, Nintendo hopes to replicate this success by putting together Wii Sports Resort and the Wii MotionPlus accessory in one package. If you haven’t heard, Wii MotionPlus is an expansion for the Wiimote that captures more complex motions. The jaded critics weigh in on Wii Sports Resort and its plug-in accessory.

New videos show Scribblenauts’ flawed gameplay
July 21, 2009 by Mike · 11 Comments

The Scribblenauts collision detection is shoddy.
Scribblenauts is currently getting massive doses of hype and with good reason. The upcoming DS game is incredibly ambitious, boasting a mind-boggling 10,000 different objects that can be used within the game. All you have to do is type in the word and presto, you get the item. It looks incredible on paper. Execution, however, is another matter.

Itsa Goomba's Shoe!
Mario may be a hit in Nintendo land, but as you’ve probably figured out when you reached your teens (or perhaps even earlier), pudgy Italian plumbers and reality don’t really mix well. But before you dismiss the combination for good, see how a Goomba’s Shoe translates into real life.
