Reviews Surfing – Rock Band 2 (Wii)

Several months ago, the world was treated to Rock Band’s sequel, and it knocked the socks off critics and gamers alike. For some reason, the Nintendo Wii version was delayed, but was fortunately able to make it before Christmas. Better late than never, they always say. From what we’ve seen in the reviews so far, Rock Band 2 is indeed worth the wait.

Guitar Hero: Metallica is coming in Q1 2009.

Is Legend of Zelda coming to the Wii in 2009?
Are you aching for another installment of The Legend of Zelda on the Wii? Join the club. There may be no official news, but analyst Colin Sebastian of Lazard Capital Markets told GameSpot that a lineup of games could “help drive a 5% growth in 2009 sales,” and that list includes The Legend of Zelda.

There’s a very good chance you’ve finished your holiday shopping, but this latest game just might change all that. If you know your games, then you should’ve heard of Fire Emblem by now. Yes, the same Fire Emblem known for its great character detail and punishing difficulty. Well, there’s a new Fire Emblem game for the Nintendo DS, and as expected, it’s a terrific.

Kingdom Hearts for the DS has been delayed.
Bad news coming your way: Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days has been delayed. When the report first came out, DS Fanboy said the news was still considered a rumor, but since the buzz came from a NeoGAF user reporting from Jump Festa, it’s a done deal.

Wii, DS are UK’s most-searched products online

Is it Wii Remote or Wiimote?
Hitwise told MCV that the Nintendo Wii and DS Lite are the UK’s most-searched products online in November. Funnily enough, the October leader that these two products overtook is also by Nintendo—it’s Wii Fit, that exercise game that’s still selling like crazy even after months of release.

Nintendo leaves no room for competition in Japan charts

Taiko no Tatsujin Wii is #1 in Japan last week.
Nintendo left no room for other games to join the latest Media Create list of last week’s top-selling games in Japan. It’s either for the Wii or DS—nothing else. The top game is Taiko no Tatsujin Wii, a rhythm game by Namco Bandai. See the complete list after the jump.
