Wii Fit, Mario Kart Wii hits 1M mark in UK

Based on the stats revealed by the Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers Association, only a handful of games have sold over one million units in the UK. Today, this short list of games has become longer as two join the elite group: welcome Wii Fit and Mario Kart Wii.

Greenpeace: Nintendo is biggest polluter among console makers

Reviews – Chrono Trigger (DS)

Reviewing remakes/re-released games can be tricky, especially when the reviewer played the game during its earlier incarnation. Consequently, it’s hard to give the remake a blank slate, and perhaps it’s not even fair to do so because it had already aged.
The Nintendo DS version of Chrono Trigger has been reviewed by several publications. Alas, most of these publications—if not all—have critiqued Chrono Trigger with rose-tinted glasses. Today, we review Chrono Trigger DS without these glasses, without the fondness that influenced previous reviews.

Review Surfing – Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades (DS)

Whatever the console or handheld, Guitar Hero is a monster to be reckoned with. The franchise may be somewhat lagging behind Rock Band, but its cultural significance can never be understated. Interestingly, of the two musical giants competing for your money, only Guitar Hero was able to land on the Nintendo DS.

New Ragnarok Online DS trailer reveals new details

Do you still remember the first trailer for the Nintendo DS version of Ragnarok Online? Of course you do. As you may recall, GungHo Entertainment, the MMORPG’s publisher in Japan, is hard at work to bringing the PC sensation to the small screen. While the rest of the gaming world is still waiting for an English version, do take the time and watch the game’s latest video.

We see crossovers all the time. Mortal Kombat and the DC Universe have collided in one game, while Altaïr of Assassin’s Creed dropped by Metal Gear Solid 4. Have you ever considered what it would be like if Link, hero of The Legend of Zelda series, visits the Resident Evil universe? Wonder no more—we have a couple of videos, and they’re quite fascinating.

Gamasutra: Wii games top 2008 bestsellers to date

The year is still far from over, but Gamasutra has already put together the top five bestselling video games of 2008 so far in the U.S. Interestingly, four of the five games are for the Nintendo Wii. The official figures may have not been released yet, but Gamasutra claims that the maximum possible error in each figure should not affect the rankings at all.

Almost all of the Castlevania games ever released had featured Count Dracula as the main antagonist. This week, we feature the Big Kahuna himself. The Castlevania game in question is the recently-released Order of Ecclesia for the Nintendo DS. While Dracula isn’t really that tough to handle in Order of Ecclesia, there are two ways to go about beating the ever-returning vampire.
